Analytics FAQs

This section answers common questions related to the Analytics feature in Dealeasy.

1. Why don’t I see the Analytics dashboard?

The Analytics feature was introduced on March 16, 2026.

  • If you installed the app on or after this date, Analytics is available immediately.
  • If you installed the app before this date, the Analytics Dashboard will not be available for you. It will automatically appear after 30 days of recorded data i.e after April 15, 2026.
    • 💡

Please note that conversions prior to March 16, 2026 were not recorded and will not be available.

2. What does the Store AOV graph represent?

The Store AOV (Average Order Value) shows the average value of all store orders during the selected time period.

It includes:

  • All completed store orders
  • Both app-influenced and non-app orders
  • Discounted and non-discounted orders
AOV = Total Store Revenue / Number of Orders

This metric reflects overall store performance, not just app-driven sales.

3. Why is the Conversion value not available for Cart Goals Offers?

Conversion value is not recorded for the cart goal offers which includes:

  • Tiered cart discount
  • Free shipping discount
  • Free gift with purchase

Reason for exclusion

  • These offers qualify and apply the discount at the cart level, not at the product or offer-specific level.
  • This creates a measurement limitation as if we were to calculate conversion value for these offers, we would have to count the entire cart value as the conversion value.
  • This would mean:
    • Every product in the cart would be attributed to the cart-level offer
    • Revenue not directly influenced by the offer would be included
    • Conversion reporting would become inflated and misleading

4. Why is there sometimes a small difference between the overall app conversion value and an individual offer’s conversion value when an order discount is applied?

When an order-level discount is applied (such as a Tiered Cart Discount from our app or an order discount created in Shopify), you may notice a small difference between:

  • the overall conversion value shown in the app, and
  • the conversion value recorded for a specific offer.

This happens because of how Shopify applies order-level discounts internally.

How Shopify handles order discounts

Order discounts apply to the entire order, not to individual products. Shopify automatically distributes the discount proportionally across all items in the cart, including products that are not part of the offer.

Since this distribution is handled by Shopify’s checkout system, it cannot be controlled or modified by the app.

Example

Products

  • Product A – $100
  • Product B – $50

Discounts applied

  • 10% volume discount on Product A when purchasing 2 units
  • 10% order discount

Customer purchase

  • 2 × Product A → $180 (after volume discount)
  • 1 × Product B → $50

Subtotal: $230

Order discount (10%): $23

Final total: $207

Shopify then distributes the $23 order discount proportionally across the items in the order.

For Product A, the adjusted value becomes approximately $162.01 after Shopify allocates its share of the order discount.

How this affects analytics

  • Offer-level conversion value: $180 (only the product-level discount is considered)
  • Overall app conversion value: ~$162.01 (includes the distributed order discount)

Because Shopify spreads the order discount across all products, the overall conversion value may appear slightly lower than the individual offer conversion value.

5. What happens to the conversion data if I delete an Offer?

When an offer is deleted:

  • All historical data related to that offer remains recorded in the dashboard.
  • Past performance metrics are not removed.
  • The offer will no longer appear in the Top Performing Offers section since it is deleted.

Deleting an offer does not erase historical analytics data.
